Keep doing more of what matters to you. The Active Hands General Purpose Gripping Aid helps people with reduced hand or finger strength hold exercise equipment and everyday objects more securely. From using a rowing machine to holding a gardening tool, it provides practical grip assistance that supports participation, confidence and greater independence.

When maintaining a grip takes more effort than the activity itself, exercise and daily tasks can become frustrating. This aid uses an adjustable upper strap to gently draw the hand into a fist around an object held in the palm. A separate wrist strap secures the fit, while neoprene padding helps reduce chafing. Strong webbing provides durable support for repeated use.

For physiotherapists and occupational therapists, the aid offers a way to address grip limitations during selected functional tasks and supervised exercise. It may suit people with reduced hand function following spinal cord injury, stroke or neurological conditions, depending on their individual movement and positioning needs. It assists holding rather than restoring hand function, and some users may need help fitting or releasing it.

In condo gyms, corporate wellness rooms and active-aging programs, grip assistance can help more people use existing equipment. For long-term care and rehabilitation facilities, selecting the correct hand and size is essential. Machine-washable construction supports routine care, while purchasing individual left- or right-hand aids allows you to equip users according to their needs.

At Resolution Fitness, I help you choose adaptive equipment with attention to fit, intended activity and long-term usefulness. Whether you are selecting an aid for yourself or supporting a client, I can help you compare sizes and identify the most appropriate Active Hands option.
